Well the server is up now!

Rates are 5/5/3 and custom NPCs are being worked on so it might be a bit lacking atm,
But you can still register and login already by going to The Control Panel.

Please be aware not all functions work yet so please limit to only registering and login in for now!

This brings us to the point where we are gonna need our own client aswell. This is also being worked on and shouldnt take much longer.

Well as of now all the previous data has been stored.
And instead of making everything from scratch it seems much simpler to just create a server.
And then edit along the way.

That way we can gather experience in hosting aswell as player support with testing new features.

We will not be advertising the server though.
As for now all we will do is allow registering at the website and a client download.

All other data is still to be decided!

Hmm well I’m back. Without anything really changed i might say.

This made me think for a good while, maybe i can backup and move the server for now and just host a low rate server for a while to gain experience hosting.
And possibly even gain support from players (since we are pretty low on staff).

I’m giving this another day to think about but I’m pretty far along with it already.
Since then it would at least use the server, right now its just sitting there…

RemixRO will still continue to develop of course, just more privately..

I (Nigma) will be away & unavailibly for a short time.
Starting 20th May ill be away for a short time, i should be back the following week.

Unless the server is forced into reboot work can continue without trouble!

I’m nowhere near professional with projects but after a good nights thinking i came up with the following.

Pre Concept

 
• All Ideas are still on the table and we continue to throw new ones on the table
• Any work being done is purely to confirm possibilities.

Concept

 
• Ideas are being put together to form the general idea of the game.
• This phase cannot end without a definite plan/idea of the game in the end.

Pre Alpha

 
• All our Plans are put into work. All Items,NPCs, Mobs and the rest are created.
• Once created we remove all the unneeded components left in the game.
• After the removal of unneeded components all the code will be optimised.
• We then perform a test to see if the server is stable. (Pre Alpha Test Phase)

Pre Alpha Test Phase

 
• 10-20 lucky players will be picked and given limited commands. (@item, @job, @blevel etc)
• And set to roam free. After 2 weeks the server reset and it will repeat the test (posibly with new players).
• This test will be repeated until the server runs 2 weeks without any problems.
• After those last 2 weeks the test will be over and the feedback will be analysed. (and the server wiped)

Alpha

 
• The pre alpha test phase feedback will be reviewed and changes will be made to systems as required.
• Then we will open the server to public, with the obvious warning this is a Alpha stage and there will be a wipe at the end.
• This stage will mainly focus on the server running smooth and working. There might be lag but this is to be expected.

Pre Beta

 
• After or possibly During the Alpha stage we will relocate the server and start on the website.
• This step will involve moving and relocating the server so it will be a very important step.
• Upon completion of the website the game will go into public Beta phase.

Public beta

 
• The server will be open to the public to play and enjoy.
• If you find any problems during this phase please report it immediately!

Populated Tutorial Island with some low level mobs (Porings and Pupa`s)
To prevent botting im planning to clone these mobs and remove their valuable drops.

Also created a Greeting NPC that should greet you upon first spawning your char.
Aswell as  a Skill Teacher that will explain how skills work in RemixRO.
And even give you a small present if you read the whole tutorial ;)
